Delhi University (DU) has released its first allocation list for undergraduate admissions on Tuesday, August 1, 2023. A total of 85,853 allocations have been made in the first round, out of which 7,042 candidates got their first preference. 22,000 candidates have been offered seats at DU based on their top five choices.

The list is available on the DU's official website, admission.uod.ac.in. Candidates can check their names in the list and accept their allocated seats by 4:59pm on August 4.The second round of seat allotment for Delhi University undergraduate admissions will take place on August 10th. The subsequent rounds of seat allocation will be held as per the schedule announced by the university.

The first round of seat allocation was based on the merit scores of candidates, which were calculated using the normalised CUET scores provided by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The merit scores were then used to rank the candidates and allocate seats to them in accordance with their preferences.

The release of the first allocation list has been welcomed by students and parents alike. Many students who have been allocated seats in their preferred colleges are relieved and excited to start their undergraduate studies. Others who have not been allocated seats in their preferred colleges are disappointed, but they are hopeful that they will be able to secure a seat in the subsequent rounds of seat allocation.

The release of the first allocation list is a significant milestone in the DU's undergraduate admissions process. It is a sign that the process is progressing smoothly and that students are starting to get their desired seats. The subsequent rounds of seat allocation will be crucial in determining the final outcome of the admissions process.
