At least 8 Palestinians were killed in Israeli strikes on Gaza today, according to local civil defence and medical sources.
Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for Civil Defence in Gaza, said 3 were killed in an Israeli drone strike on a group of Palestinians in the al-Shati refugee camp west of Gaza City.
2 were killed in an airstrike in the Al-Karama neighbourhood northwest of Gaza City and 2 in an Israeli strike in the Al-Shuja’iya neighbourhood east of Gaza City.
Also a young man was killed in Jabalia town in northern Gaza, where eyewitnesses reported injuries from Israeli artillery shelling.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry on Sunday said Israel is prolonging the war through a “time-buying game” to carry out “genocide, displacement and annexation” and called on the international community to act immediately to stop the aggression.
In the midst of the conflict, an international conference is being prepared to mobilise support for Gaza’s residents. Mahmoud Ataya, undersecretary of the Palestinian Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, said they will rebuild Gaza & will coordinate with international partners such as the United Nations, the European Union & the World Bank.
The government has prioritised immediate humanitarian aid and long-term reconstruction, and is working on a three-year recovery plan and a ten-year development plan to be finished by March, said Ataya.
Earlier 3 were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a group of people near Shebaa Farms in southern Lebanon, a Lebanese military source said.
The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told Xinhua on Sunday that an Israeli drone fired an air-to-ground missile at the Bastra area south of the town of Shebaa.
