Manipur MP Urges Amit Shah for Immediate Action to Restore Peace

In a direct appeal to the Union Home Minister, Manipur MP Rajkumar Ranjan Singh has called for immediate corrective actions to restore peace in the conflict-ridden state. In his letter to Amit Shah, Singh expressed grave concerns over the escalating violence and unrest, which have deeply shaken the social fabric of Manipur. He stressed that swift and effective measures are essential to prevent the situation from spiraling out of control.

The MP highlighted how the prolonged instability has severely impacted daily life, disrupted governance, and strained community relations. Singh urged the Home Minister to deploy all available resources to ensure peace and security for the people of Manipur. According to him, the state’s fragile situation demands a prompt and decisive response from the central government.

Furthermore, he pointed out the failure of existing law enforcement measures, calling for a thorough reassessment of strategies to prevent further violence. He requested that Amit Shah send a high-level delegation to assess the ground realities and engage with local stakeholders.

The letter also emphasized the need for communal harmony, urging both state and central governments to work together to defuse tensions and promote peace-building efforts.

Singh's call for action has added to the growing pressure on the central government to address the crisis in Manipur, where sporadic violence continues to destabilize the region. He concluded by expressing hope that timely intervention would prevent further damage to the state.
