Rahul Slams Govt After TN Rail Tragedy

After the tragic rail accident in Tamil Nadu that claimed multiple lives, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took to social media to express his outrage. In a sharp criticism of the central government, he questioned the lack of effective safety measures and demanded immediate action to prevent such incidents in the future. “How many more families must be destroyed before the government wakes up?” Gandhi wrote, highlighting his concern over the growing number of accidents on India's railway network.

The incident, which occurred when a passenger train derailed near the Madurai station, has left the nation in shock. While rescue operations are ongoing, preliminary reports suggest possible lapses in track maintenance, raising concerns over the Railway Ministry’s efficiency. Gandhi emphasized that such tragedies expose the flaws in the system, which need urgent attention. He also called for a comprehensive review of railway safety protocols, stating that the government's failure to act responsibly is costing innocent lives.

This is not the first time Rahul Gandhi has been vocal on issues of public safety. Previously, he criticized the authorities after similar accidents, but his concerns have largely gone unaddressed. Following the recent accident, he urged the government to prioritize the safety of passengers over profit-making ventures, hinting at the need for greater accountability within the railway administration.

As the investigation continues, the opposition has demanded answers from the government on how it plans to improve safety standards. Meanwhile, the bereaved families await justice, hoping for measures that will ensure no one else has to face such a tragic loss.
