BSF SHOOTS INTRUDER DEAD IN JAMMU AND KASHMIR

Intruder Killed in Exchange of Fire with BSF

The Border Security Force (BSF) shot dead an intruder along the Jammu and Kashmir international border on Monday. The incident took place in the Samba sector of the border.


The BSF said that the intruder was trying to cross the border illegally when he was challenged by the troops. The intruder opened fire on the troops, who retaliated in self-defense. The intruder was killed in the exchange of fire.The BSF recovered a pistol and some ammunition from the possession of the intruder. The identity of the intruder is not yet known.


This is the second such incident in the Samba sector in the last two weeks. On July 17, the BSF had shot dead an intruder who was trying to cross the border illegally.The BSF has stepped up security along the border in Jammu and Kashmir in the wake of the recent spate of infiltration attempts. The force has also been carrying out regular patrolling and anti-infiltration drills.


The recent incidents of infiltration attempts have raised concerns about the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir. The security forces are on high alert and are taking all necessary measures to prevent any such attempts.


 The event of the encounter took place at around 11:00 PM on Monday.The intruder was carrying a pistol and some ammunition.The BSF troops were patrolling the border when they saw the intruder crossing the fence.


The intruder opened fire on the troops, who retaliated in self-defense and got killed in the exchange of fire.The BSF has not yet released the identity of the intruder.They have said  that they are committed to preventing any infiltration attempts along the Jammu and Kashmir border. The force has also urged the people of the region to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.The security forces are on high alert and are taking all necessary measures to prevent any such attempts.
