In a bid to enhance efficiency and accountability within the Revenue Department, Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan (IAS), chaired a comprehensive review meeting at the Mini-Secretariat’s Conference Hall on Wednesday. The meeting was convened to assess the functioning of the Revenue Department and ensure the timely and effective delivery of services to the public.
During the session, the Deputy Commissioner conducted a detailed evaluation of each Patwar Halqa in the district, focusing on the status of service delivery and addressing pending issues. Key discussions centered around the digitization of revenue records, the status of online services, removal of encroachments from state and Kacharia land, and the timely processing of Change of Land Use cases. The meeting also reviewed progress on revenue court cases, PSGA-related services, and the disposal of grievances related to migrant properties and the Revenue Plus portal.
Special attention was given to the implementation of geo-referencing and preparation of Mussavies in each Tehsil, disposal of SRO cases, land allotment progress for various departments, issuance of land passbooks to farmers, and the identification of land under the CAPMA scheme. The status of Samadhan grievance registrations and the holding of mutation camps were also discussed in detail.
DC Kulgam issued strict directions to the concerned officers to ensure that all services are delivered within set timelines and public grievances are redressed promptly. He urged officers to adopt a proactive approach by conducting field visits and on-spot inspections to address the issues faced by the general public.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Viqar Ahmed Giri, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Reyaz Ahmad Shah, all Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, Girdawars, and Patwaris of the district.
