Jammu – Nova IVF Fertility launches its 100th centre in Jammu, bringing fertility care closer to patients in the region. The Total Fertility Rate (TFR) in J&K has reached 1.4, which is significantly below the replacement level of 2.1. 

While the average age of marriage remains within the expected range, delayed medical intervention is a common trend in Jammu. There’s still hesitation when it comes to seeking fertility treatment. Many couples wait for years, often trying alternative options, before approaching a fertility specialist. People in Tier 2 cities like Jammu are more open to discussing infertility now than before, but there is still some social stigma attached especially around undergoing treatments like IVF.
