Former JK CM Farooq Abdullah summoned by ED

The Enforcement Directorate has issued a notice, summoning the Member Parliament and former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah in connection with a particular case.



As per the official sources, the ED summoned Abdullah, who is in his eighties, and asked him to appear before the Srinagar office of ED on May 31.



“Enforcement Directorate will question Abdullah in connection with the alleged misappropriation of Rs 94.06 crore when he was the chairman of J&K Cricket Association,” the source said.



It is pertinent to mention that in October 2020, Farooq Abdullah, Member of Parliament from central Kashmir and President National Conference received the summon twice from the agency. He was investigated in connection with the alleged Cricket Association scam.
