Jammu and Kashmir gears up for celebration of Eid on June 29
Jammu and Kashmir's Grand Mufti Nasir- ul- Islam has blazoned that Eid- ul- Adha will be celebrated on June 29 in the region. The advertisement was made after the crescent of Dhul Hijjah was observed in Batote area of Ramban quarter on Monday evening. Dhul Hijjah is the twelfth and last month of the Islamic timetable and is significant due to the periodic Hajj passage and beast offerings on the dusk of Bakr-e-Eid. As per well- established Ahadith( aphorisms of Prophet Muhammad SAW), those intending to do offerings, making Qurbani of creatures, are supposed not to trim their hair or nails until the offerings are actually made on any given day during Bakra-e-Eid. The advertisement has brought joy among the people of Jammu and Kashmir who are eagerly staying to celebrate the jubilee with their loved bones
The government has also made necessary arrangements to insure that the fests are carried out easily and safely. Eid- ul- Adha is celebrated by Muslims across the world to commemorate the amenability of Prophet Ibrahim to immolate his son as an act of obedience to Allah's command. It's a time of joy, gratefulness, and participating with others.
