IGP is working on multiple fronts to prevent local militant recruitment

In an interview with reporters, IGP Kashmir stated that police have been successful in preventing youth from taking up arms to a considerable extent.

“We are preventing local militant recruiting on multiple fronts.” The assistance of one’s parents is essential. Parents have played a critical role in restoring youth. In addition, we were tracking new recruits through technical surveillance and bringing them back,” the IGP stated.

The IGP stated that those who’motivate and attract’ young lads into militancy face PSA.

The Kashmir police chief said the two people killed in the military action in Pulwama were locals linked with the Jaish-e-Muhammad group.

He identified the murdered as Saqib and Abid, who were engaged in the May 13 assassination of police constable Reyaz Ahmed in Gudoora, Pulwama.
