In connection with a militancy case that has already been filed, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is conducting raids at various sites in Jammu and Kashmir, according to official sources on Friday
They claimed that NIA sleuths are conducting raids in portions of Anantnag, Baramulla, Budgam, Bandipora, Pulwama, Sopore, Srinagar, and Kathua with the help of the police and CRPF.
The home of Faisal Sajad Naikoo, the 14-year-old son of Sajad Ahmad Naikoo and a resident of Kani Mazar Nawakadal A/P Rehab Sahib Ali-Kadal as tenement, was raided by NIA detectives in Srinagar. The NIA Team has confiscated Faisal and his parents’ cell phones during searches.
According to sources, the boy’s father Sajad Ahmad Naikoo (Driver), 47, has also been arrested and held by the NIA Team for questioning.
Syed Fayaz Ahmad, the son of Syed Ghulam Geelani and a resident of Bonpora Chewdara Beerwah, was the subject of a raid by another team from the investigating agency. Fayaz was captured and brought to PS Beerwah.
The homes of Abdul Majeed Dar, son of Ali Mohammad Dar, a resident of Chek-e-Ganastan, and Owais Ahmad Sheikh, son of Abdul Rashid, a resident of Bankoot, were raided by NIA detectives in Bandipora.
The national investigation agency, about which sources said information was being gathered, is also searching a great deal of other places.
“During the searches on Friday, various incriminating documents and electronic devices were seized from the premises of the suspects”, official sources said adding that further investigation of the case is on.
