According to reports, anonymous persons stole an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) of the J&K Bank and fled with an unknown amount of cash on the intervening night of Saturday-Sunday in Panzan Chadoora area, Budgam district, Central Kashmir.
A police officer quoted that unidentified individuals broke into the ATM in Panzan, located a few kilometers away from Budgam's Chadoora town and looted cash as well as the ATM Machine, as reported by news agency KDC. The machine was later found broken and discarded at GunjBagh, near to the village.
The police have started the investigation, through which the statement of he guard will be recorded and CCTV footage of the incident will be extracted to give the investigation a direction. A case has also been registered under the relevant section of law in Chandoora Police Station, as informed by an officer.
