Founder of the Jammu National Panthers Party, Prof. Bhim Singh passed away on Tuesday morning. He was 81 years of age.
A lawyer by profession, Singh had been battling ill health for some time and was admitted to the Government Medical College, Jammu, where he breathed his last. He is survived by his wife and a son.

Mourning the death of the JKNPP founder, Prime minister Narendra Modi tweeted
“Prof Bhim Singh Ji will be remembered as a grassroots leader who devoted his life to the welfare of Jammu and Kashmir. He was very well-read and scholarly. I will always recall my interactions with him. Saddened by his demise. Condolences to his family and supporters. Om Shanti.”
