The renaming of the infamous "Khooni Lal Chowk" to "Adil Shah Chowk" serves not only as a reminder of the martyrs of Pahalgam but also as a celebration of Operation Sindoor, which shaped its logic from April 22 to May 11.
Srinagar, a distinguished assembly of intellectuals from Greater Srinagar and the larger Kashmir region convened at the iconic Tagore Hall for a prestigious conference in support of Operation Sindoor. This significant event was organized by Kashmir Society International, Vishwagram, and Peace Foundation Global. Among the notable figures attending were Dr. Khwaja Farooq Renzushah, Dr. Geeta Singh, Alama Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, Maharaj Lakhshmi Mahrani from Kanyakumari, and Tasleema Jee, who represented India's stance on Kashmir at UN bodies in Geneva.

Dr. Geeta Singh, Head of the Department at Delhi University and chief of Vishwagram, announced the upcoming unveiling of a research book titled " Sharda—the world's first university," authored by Dr. Renzushah and herself as co author on May 13. She paid tribute to the martyrs of April 22, highlighting the sacrifices made, including that of the courageous Kashmiri Adil Shah. Dr. Singh endorsed the Kashmir Society and the Peace Foundation's initiative to rename the Ghanta Ghar in honor of the martyrs and pledged that a similar memorial would be established in Pahalgam to honor those lost during Operation Sindoor, which significantly impacted terrorism's epicenter in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. She emphasized a unified sentiment among Indians from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, all committed to safeguarding the honor of Mother India.
Alama Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, Chief of the Peace Foundation, spoke passionately about the involvement of local Kashmir-based organizations and iconic figures in peace initiatives directly influenced by Atal Bihari Vajpayee, during a time when discussing peace was met with hostility. He recounted the challenges faced in raising the Indian flag at erstwile terrir Lal Chowk, noting that it was due to the efforts of the Kashmir Society and Peace Foundation, supported by Atal Behari Vajpayee jee and Indresh Kumar, that the Indian flag found its place in the hearts of the Kashmiri people. He condemned those who foster divisive ideologies that undermine communal harmony and urged recognition of the true heroes of peace.
In his address, Dr. Khwaja Farooq Renzushah expressed gratitude to all the distinguished delegates for their support of Operation Sindoor. He commended efforts against drug abuse and highlighted the need to address alcohol, describing it as the root of numerous societal issues. Dr. Renzushah called for a ban on liquor licenses for all hotels, stressing that the presence of alcohol near Hotel Heemal Boulevard disrespects the legacy of Naga Arjun and his queen, Heemal, who opposed alcohol consumption in Kashmir. He affirmed, "Kashmir is India, and India is Kashmir," advocating for the return of territory from Gwadar, Baltistan, and POK to restore a unified Greater India.
Dr. Renzushah emphasized that the first Buddhist conference was held in the Hawan mountains during the first century, a significant site for establishing knowledge centers like Sharda. He expressed hope for the revival of a civilization celebrated for its intellectualism and culture, furthered by the teachings of Hazrat Bulbulshah and Shah Hamdan, calling for a renaissance of knowledge in the region.
