Kothibagh police station partially gutted in overnight blaze

After Traffic Police headquarters in Srinagar caught fire two days ago, now Police Station Kothibagh was damaged in a fire incident last night, officials said on Friday.

According to officials, the fire broke out at the police station in the Lal Chowk area of Srinagar district causing partial damage to the building. The officials also said that the cause of the fire, so far, remains unknown.

Immediately after the building Caught fire, Firefighters from the Fire & Emergency Services rushed to the spot and doused the flames and preventing further damage, the official said.

This is the second fire incident in the city in a week. on Wednesday, the Traffic Police headquarters was also partially damaged in a blaze, which broke out in the wee hours.
