One Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) jawan was killed and four others were injured when militants attacked a bus carrying 15 CISF personnel on Friday morning, April 22.

As per the officials, a bus was carrying 15 CISF personnel for their morning shift. Around 4.25 am near Chaddha camp in Jammu’s Sunjwan area militants open fire at the bus. The CISF jawan retaliated against the militant attack which resulted in them running away.

Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Jammu, Mukesh Singh said there is the possibility that the militants might be hiding in a house so “the operation is underway”.

Police officials also revealed that they had already received input about the presence of militants in Jammu.

“We had cordoned off the area in the night,” ADGP Singh said.

The police suspect two to three militants may be hiding at the encounter site.
