On June 9, 2023, the police in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district conducted a search operation at the house of two suspected Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) terrorists. The search was conducted following intelligence reports that the terrorists were planning to carry out an attack in the area.

The police team, led by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishtwar Shafqat Watali, searched the house thoroughly and recovered incriminating material, including weapons, ammunition, and explosives. The police also arrested two people, identified as Mohammad Rafiq and Mohammad Muzaffar, who were allegedly providing shelter to the terrorists.

The SSP said that the search operation was a success and that the police had dealt a major blow to the HM terror outfit. He said that the police would continue to take all necessary measures to ensure the safety and security of the people of Kishtwar and other parts of the state.

The search operation comes at a time when the security forces are on high alert in Jammu and Kashmir following a series of terror attacks in the past few months. In May, a suicide bomber killed at least 40 CRPF personnel in Pulwama district. The attack was claimed by the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror outfit.

The security forces have stepped up their operations against the terrorists in the wake of the Pulwama attack. In the past few weeks, the security forces have killed several terrorists and arrested many others.

The police have also launched a crackdown on the terror sympathizers and those who provide shelter to the terrorists. The police have arrested several people in this connection.

The security forces are determined to eliminate terrorism from Jammu and Kashmir. They have vowed to bring the perpetrators of the Pulwama attack to justice.

The people of Jammu and Kashmir have also expressed their solidarity with the security forces and have urged them to continue their fight against terrorism. They have said that they will not allow the terrorists to disrupt the peace and tranquility of the state.

The search operation in Kishtwar is a clear message to the terrorists that they will not be allowed to operate in the state. The security forces have vowed to continue their operations against the terrorists and to bring peace and stability to Jammu and Kashmir.
