Rainfall, cloudy skies in J&K, Ladakh for next 24 hours: IMD

Expect gradual improvement from this evening. Overall, there is no forecast of any major rain next week, but a brief spell of occasional light rain with thunderstorms can't be ruled out at some places

The Indian Meteorological Department( IMD) forecasted that Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh will experience rainfall and overcast weather for the next twenty-four hours.

 
The weather department issued the statement saying, "Today, weather is most likely to remain cloudy at most places of J&K and Ladakh with intermittent light rain/snowfall over higher reaches."
 

The statement further added, "Expect gradual improvement from this evening. Overall, there is no forecast of any major rain next week, but a brief spell of occasional light rain with thunderstorms can't be ruled out at some places,".
 

Meanwhile, the temperature recorded in Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of 8.6 degrees Celsius, while Pahalgam and Gulmarg logged 2 degrees Celsius, and zero degrees Celsius respectively. Jammu registered a minimum temperature of 18.1 degrees Celsius.
 

Ladakh experienced a minimum temperature of minus 0.6 degrees Celsius. Leh and Kargil recorded 0.4 degrees Celsius and 0.8 degrees Celsius respectively on Friday.
