The Indian Meteorological Department( IMD) forecasted that Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh will experience rainfall and overcast weather for the next twenty-four hours.
The weather department issued the statement saying, "Today, weather is most likely to remain cloudy at most places of J&K and Ladakh with intermittent light rain/snowfall over higher reaches."
The statement further added, "Expect gradual improvement from this evening. Overall, there is no forecast of any major rain next week, but a brief spell of occasional light rain with thunderstorms can't be ruled out at some places,".
Meanwhile, the temperature recorded in Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of 8.6 degrees Celsius, while Pahalgam and Gulmarg logged 2 degrees Celsius, and zero degrees Celsius respectively. Jammu registered a minimum temperature of 18.1 degrees Celsius.
Ladakh experienced a minimum temperature of minus 0.6 degrees Celsius. Leh and Kargil recorded 0.4 degrees Celsius and 0.8 degrees Celsius respectively on Friday.
