SRINAGAR, JULY 12: In a significant event celebrating progress in healthcare and research, the Hon’ble Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Itoo, today addressed the Triple Milestone Moment-2025 at Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Hospital (JLNMH), Rainawari, Srinagar.
The event marked three major achievements for the institution—Allergy Alert-2025, a conference-cum-workshop; the launch of the JLNM Journal; and a Postgraduate (PG) research presentation session. Present on the occasion were MLA Zadibal Tanvir Sadiq, Director Health Services Kashmir, the Medical Superintendent of JLNMH, alongside a gathering of doctors, researchers, and medical students.
Speaking at the event, Minister Itoo highlighted the urgent need for early diagnosis and community education around allergies, citing rising environmental and lifestyle factors. “Awareness and timely intervention are key to managing allergies effectively. Initiatives like ‘Allergy Alert 2025’ reflect our commitment to equipping healthcare professionals and the public with vital knowledge and tools,” she said.
The Minister also emphasized the evolving nature of medical science and the need for doctors to remain up-to-date with the latest advancements. She reaffirmed the government's commitment to strengthening the healthcare infrastructure across Jammu and Kashmir and praised JLNMH staff for their dedication in transforming the hospital into a leading tertiary care center in the Valley.
The event also saw the official release of the Asian Journal of Clinical Practice and Research, published by JLNM Hospital. Minister Itoo distributed awards among outstanding postgraduate researchers for their significant contributions to the medical field.
The hospital administration thanked the Minister and the UT government for continued support in upgrading the hospital's facilities and reviving its historic role in public healthcare.
Notably, Allergy Alert 2025 brought together experts from across the region to discuss innovations in allergy and immunology, underlining JLNMH’s growing prominence in clinical research and patient care.
