Targeted Killing in J&K: AAP likely to hold protest at Jantar Mantar today

"The 2008 rehabilitation policy of the Central Government had re-established around 3,800 Kashmiri Pandits back in the valley. The situation today has grown so dire, that the people who were provided rehabilitation by the previous Central government, are so afraid and terrorized that they are fleeing Kashmir for survival,"

Amid the escalating tension over targeted killings in Jammu and Kashmir, The Aam Aadmi Party is likely going to hold a protest at Delhiā€™s Jantar Mantar against the killings.

For the last few days, the valley has witnessed several killings of members of minority communities, including government employees. The killings have outraged the people and numerous protests were staged by Kashmiri Pandits across the UT.

AAP's chief spokesperson Saurabh Bhardwaj while commenting on the killing said that Kashmiri pandits are being killed almost every day.

"The 2008 rehabilitation policy of the Central Government had re-established around 3,800 Kashmiri Pandits back in the valley. The situation today has grown so dire, that the people who were provided rehabilitation by the previous Central government, are so afraid and terrorized that they are fleeing Kashmir for survival," Bhardwaj said.

He further added, "Not only has the current Central government failed to strengthen the rehabilitation program and give the Kashmiri Pandits their land back in Kashmir, but they have failed to protect the Kashmiri Pandits and Hindus already in the valley."
