The CBI has summoned Rubaiya Sayeed in connection with the abduction of Yasin Malik

Rubaiya Sayeed, the younger sister of former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti, was kidnapped by the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front from Nowgam in Kashmir on December 8, 1989, according to the Hindustan Times.

The accused allegedly kidnapped Rubaiya Sayeed in order to force the government to release five militants, according to the CBI.

Yasin Malik is accused of playing a crucial role in the kidnapping of five militants that he and his comrades carried out to obtain their release.

Rubaiya Sayeed was launched on December 13 of that year.
