The political crisis in Maharashtra seems unending as Eknath Shinde and his supporters of 37 MLA have written to the Governor of the state and have named Shinde his Legislative party leader.

This came soon after CM Uddhav Thackeray filled an application for disqualification of 12 dissidents. However, Shinde termed the application as illegal.

“ Who are they scaring? We are well versed with the law. As per the 10th Schedule to the Constitution, the whip is for assembly work not for meeting” Shinde tweeted.

Earlier, the Uddhav Thackeray-led party said that it was ready to break the alliance with NCP and Congress provided that the rebels return in 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the BJP has stated that the party has nothing to do with the rebellious movement in the Shiv Sena party. on the other hand, Sharad Pawar has expressed his confidence in the government and claimed that the government will successfully emerge from this trouble.
