After Biplab Deb’s resignation, Manik Saha appointed as new Tripura Chief Minister

Following the naming of Saha as the new chief minister of Tripura, the BJP refurbished the party’s Tripura committee by adding some fresh faces. Reportedly, the committee will incorporate seven vice presidents, three general secretaries, six secretaries, and seven spokespersons

Following the unexpected resignation of Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, the BJP roped in Dr. Manik Saha as a new CM. The replacement took place just a year ahead of assembly polls in the state.



Saha, a dentist by profession, was elected as a Rajya Sabha MP last month and is also the current Tripura state president of the BJP.



Saha joined the saffron party in 2016. Before joining BJP he had a long association with the Congress party. in 2020 he was chosen as the president of BJP’s state unit.



Following the naming of Saha as the new chief minister of Tripura, the BJP refurbished the party’s Tripura committee by adding some fresh faces. Reportedly, the committee will incorporate seven vice presidents, three general secretaries, six secretaries, and seven spokespersons.



Sharing the revised list of office bearers and spokespersons, Saha tweeted, “Congratulations to all concerned revised state office bearers of BJP Tripura,".



As Tripura's new chief minister, BJP expects Saha to steer the party to victory in the 2023 assembly elections.
