Amid Covid outbreak, South Korea vows to provide ‘humanitarian aid’ to North Korea

As North Korea is witnessing an alarming surge in Covid-19 cases, South Korea's President Yoon Suk-yeol said on Monday reassured that the country will leave no stone unturned to help North Korea in the fight against the pandemic. 



North Korea is currently battling a COVID-19 outbreak, and with every passing day, the number of fresh cases is ascending tirelessly.



The South Korean President reiterates that his country will be open to providing North Korea with humanitarian aid.



"If North Korea responds (to our support), we will spare no medicines including COVID-19 vaccines, medical equipment, and health personnel," said Yoon.



 In a speech at the plenary session of the National Assembly, South Korean president Yoon also said that he will the ways to cement cooperation on the global supply chain through the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework with the US president Joe Biden.
