After terror outfit Al-Qaeda sent a threat letter, Central agencies have decided not to take the risk and look into the matter ‘seriously’. The letter from the terror group has threatened to execute suicide attacks in Delhi, Mumbai, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat against the objectionable comment on Prophet Mohammad by BJP’s Nupur Sharma.

The threats have led law enforcement agencies to issue the alert across Delhi, Mumbai, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat and enhance the watch at specific locations like airports, metro, railway stations, and market areas.

Also, security personnel have been directed to inform the concerned department immediately soon if any suspicious activity is noticed.

The letter from Al-Qaeda surfaced on June 6 and threatened that several cities of India would soon witness suicidal attacks in response to dishonoring the Prophet.

“We shall kill those who affront our Prophet and we shall bind explosives with our bodies and the bodies of our children to blow away the ranks of those who dare to dishonor our Prophet… The saffron terrorists should now await their end in Delhi, Bombay, UP and Gujarat,” the letter read.
