Delhi police have labelled arrested AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan a history-sheeter, 'Bad Character of Jamia.'

A day after AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan was arrested in Madanpur Khadar after demolition skirmishes, Delhi Police released his history book and proclaimed him a "Bad Character of Jamia Nagar Area." On Thursday, Khan was arrested, and 12 residents were detained, including a mother and her little daughter

Meanwhile, Manish Sisodia, the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, wrote a letter to Union Minister Amit Shah on Friday, pleading with him to intervene immediately and stop the 'Demolition Drive in Delhi.' "Despite the fact that its tenure in MCD is ended, the BJP and its leaders went to great efforts to conduct its 'cheap' bulldozer politics in Delhi," Sisodia remarked.

Sisodia also requested that Shah "perform demolition action in the houses of BJP leaders who collected money and allowed individuals to build houses on unapproved lands" in the letter.

Locals and Delhi Police officers clashed at Madanpur Khadar on Thursday during an anti-encroachment drive by the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC).

A heatwave is expected to hit Delhi from May 13 to 15, with the maximum temperature expected to be around 44 degrees Celsius on Friday, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast. While a 'yellow' alert is in effect for Friday and Saturday, a 'orange' alert is in effect for Sunday, when the maximum temperature might reach over 45 degrees Celsius.
