Early on Wednesday, heavy rain offered much-needed relief from the sweltering heat to inhabitants of Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana. The rain, on the other hand, brought back waterlogging and flooded streets.

Locals in Hyderabad used inflatable rubber boats as several areas of the state capital remained under water for hours after heavy rain, according to a clip published by news agency ANI.

Waterlogging and inundation were reported in various areas of Hyderabad, including Amberpet, Kukatpally, Malkajgiri, and Musheerabad, as well as the old city, according to a PTI report. In some areas, trees were uprooted.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation's (GHMC) Disaster Response Force (DRF) was spotted removing stagnant stretches and those with fallen trees.

Asaduddin Owaisi, a member of the Hyderabad Municipal Council, also provided an update on the rain-soaked districts. "I spoke to @arvindkumar ias @ZC Charminar @CPHydCity to send emergency teams in Yathrab Nagar (dhobi ghat), Talab KATTA region behind Owaisi School, and Mecca Colony KalaPathar as these areas are swamped," the AIMIM president tweeted.
