A large fire broke out in a chemical business in Dahej, Gujarat's Bharuch district, on Tuesday, injuring at least six workers, according to authorities
According to Superintendent of Police Leena Patil, a fire broke out at Bharat Rasayan's unit, and a rescue operation was underway.
She stated that six people had been transferred to a hospital in Bharuch city.
Firefighting was still going on, according to district collector Tushar Sumera.
"Once the fire is out and rescue personnel enter the premises, the picture will become apparent," he said.
Officials claimed the cause of the fire was still unknown.
"PM Narendra Modi has conveyed his sorrow over the deaths caused by a manufacturing accident in Bharuch.
He expresses his sympathies to the deceased families.
The deceased's next of kin would receive an ex-gratia payment of Rs 2 lakh each from PMNRF.
