On Monday at least five rockets were hurled at an Iraqi military base hosting troops from an international anti-jihadist coalition. However, the attack didn’t cause any death or damage, a military official said.

"Iraqi security forces responded. No casualties or damage reported for the time being," the source said.

A previously unidentified group, "International Resistance”, has claimed the responsibility for the attack on a pro-Iran Telegram channel.

In recent months, US troops and interests have faced several rocket and drone attacks in Iraq. Around 2,500 US soldiers and around 1,000 troops from other coalition members are currently deployed in three Iraqi military bases.
