G7 financial leaders have decided to focus to chalk out a plan to help Ukraine pay its bills, with reconstruction after the war, surging global inflation, climate change, supply chains, and the impending food crisis.

Finance ministers and central bank governors of the G7 countries, United States, Japan, Canada, Britain, Germany, France, and Italy, will hold talks as Ukraine is struggling to resist the attack, after being invaded by Russia on February 24.

"Ukraine is overshadowing these meetings. But there are other issues that must be discussed," said a G7 official.

He also said that the meeting will discuss debt, international taxation, climate change, and global health as well.

As per the reports, Ukraine needs around $5 billion a month to keep the public pay salaries to employees and keep the administration working despite the daily destruction wrought by Russia.

G7 has also agreed to provide a short-term package to Ukraine that would cover three months of Ukraine's needs.
