After days of speculations, former Congress leader Hardik Patel is all slated to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday.in the presence of Gujarat party president CR Paatil. Patel decision to join the saffron party came just ahead of the Gujarat Assembly elections scheduled later this year.
On join BJP, Patel on Thursday tweeted that he all set open a new chapter. “With the feelings of national interest, state interest, public interest and social interest, I am going to start a new chapter from today. I will work as a small soldier in the noble work of service to the nation under the leadership of the successful Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Bhai Modi,” he tweeted.

“I am sure my decision will be welcomed by my colleagues and the people of Gujarat. I believe that with this step, I will be able to work really positively for Gujarat in future,"Patel said after resigning from Congress.
