Israeli Defence Minister Benny Gantz visits Delhi’s National War Memorial, receives Tri-Service Guard of Honour

Israeli Defence Minister Benny Gantz visited National War Memorial in Delhi on Thursday morning and received a Tri-Service Guard of Honour in presence of Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.



The Israeli Defence minister is slated to hold a bilateral meeting with Rajnath Singh at Vigyan Bhawan, Gantz arrived in India on June 1 and is also scheduled to meet prime minister Narendra Modi.



The purpose of the visit is to strengthen the security ties between Tel Aviv and New Delhi. The visit of Benny Gantz was supposed to take place in March 2022, but due at that time, he got infected with Covid-19, and hence the visit was postponed.
