Massive protests erupt in Delhi, Punjab, Jammu over killing of Sidhu Moose Wala

Sidhu Moose Wala supporters and opposition leaders have blamed chief minister Bhagwant Mann for his death because his government had reduced the security of the singer

Over the killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, massive protests were held in Delhi, Punjab, and Jammu. 



The 28-year-old singer was shot dead in Punjab's Mansa district, on Sunday. soon after the shooting, Sidhu was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. dozens of his protestors also protested there against the shooting. 



The protests took place against the Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann-led AAP government. A video also surfaced on the internet, showing some of Moose Wala's supporters tearing down hoardings with Mann's face.



Sidhu Moose Wala supporters and opposition leaders have blamed chief minister Bhagwant Mann for his death because his government had reduced the security of the singer.



A couple of days ago, the Punjab government had ordered a reduction in the security of 424 people, including Moose Wala. Out of four security personnel, two were reduced in Moose Wala’s case. The singer however had two Punjab Police commandos assigned to him but he had refused to take them with him.



In the meantime, Punjab Director-General of Police VK Bhawra has said that the jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's gang was behind the killing of the singer.
