Former Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu, who served a sentence of 1-year imprisonment in Patiala Central Jail, was rushed to hospital after he complained about his health.

The cricketer-turned-politician, Navjot Singh Sidhu complained that he was not feeling well, and the authorities after checking him up took him to Rajindra Hospital on Monday.

Meanwhile, Sidhu also filed an application in court where he has mentioned his health condition. In response to the application, the court directed to set up a board of doctors to prepare a report regarding his health.

The team of doctors, after investigating Sidhu’s health condition, will submit a report to the Patiala Court on Monday.

While serving his sentence, Sidhu reportedly skipped his first meal in the Patiala Central Jail and claimed that he couldn’t eat the food provided to him as he is allergic to wheat.

Before surrendering to District and Session Judge Tarslem Mangla on Friday, Sidhu had filed an application before Supreme Court asking it to give him some time regarding the judgment announced, citing his health condition. The same application was also moved to the Patiala court.
