On Friday, RBI announced that they will withdraw 2000 rupee notes from the market and stop it's circulation. 2000 rupee notes were first introduced in Nov , 2016 after the decision of demonetization by Modi Govt where 1000 and 500 rupee notes got banned.

Now with this decision of 2000 notes , various opposition leader started criticizing PM Modi for his whimsical decisions.

The Aam Aadmi Party’s Alka Lamba said: ““If probed, notebandi would prove to be the biggest scam of the century. In the name of attacking black money by discontinuing 1000 rupee notes and issuing 2000 rupee notes, Prime Minister Modi only made the work of his fugitive capitalist friends easier - before demonetisation, friends (brothers) would have to run away with the country's money in double sacks. It would have been a problem. After demonetisation and the issue of Rs 2000 notes, the work of friends became easy. The work was done in half. Now neither fugitive friends will come, nor black money will come back and now, even the 2000 rupee note is going to disappear from the market. The loot of time.”

Trinamool Congress spokesperson Kunal Ghosh said: "It was said in demonetisation last time 1) Black money will be recovered. 2) Funding of militants will stop. None happened. Some people fled the country by looting banks. And ordinary people died in bank lines. The central government is again playing with the common people in short-sighted work."
