PM Modi on 2-day visit to home state Gujarat, “programmes cover key sectors such as healthcare, cooperatives and farmer welfare”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled for a two-day visit to his home state Gujarat, where he will attend several events in Rajkot and Gandhinagar. The visit beginning on Saturday will include the PM visiting a multispeciality hospital in Rajkot.

On Saturday morning informing about the visit, PM Modi tweeted, “Will be in Gujarat today, where I will be attending programmes in Rajkot and Gandhinagar. These programmes cover key sectors such as healthcare, cooperatives and farmer welfare." 

The PM highlighted the important role played by the state’s Cooperative sector in leading Gujarat to progress.

PM Modi added, “I look forward to being among stalwarts of the cooperative sector at the 'Sahakar Se Samriddhi' programme in Gandhinagar at 4 PM.” 

As per the reports, more than 7,000 representatives from various cooperative institutions of the state will mark their presence at the event.

During his visit, the PM is expected to address an event, which will be an attempt to reach out to the Patidar community of Gujarat.

“We aim to gather about three lakh people for the event. This could be one of the largest gatherings addressed by any political leader in recent times,” an official said at Shree Sewa Samaj.
