Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Hyderabad today, Thursday, to participate in the 20th-year celebration of the Indian School of Business.

Given the PM’s visit, moderate traffic disruption is expected on roads around the Begumpet Airport, therefore the Hyderabad Traffic Police have advised citizens to avoid the stretch of Green Lands – Prakash Nagar ‘T’ Junction, Rasoolpura ‘T’ Junction and CTO Junction between 11 am and 4 pm.

However, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is expected to skip meeting PM Modi and will be in Bengaluru at the time of the PM’s stay in Hyderabad on Thursday. The Telangana CM will be in Bengaluru to meet JD(S) leader and former PM HD Deve Gowda.

It is pertinent to mention that this will be the second time in four months CM Rao is avoiding meeting PM Modi. Last time when the Telangana CM evaded meeting PM Modi was when the prime minister came to the state to unveil a statue of Saint Ramanujacharya, Statue of Equality, near Hyderabad on 5 February.
