Poet Amjad Islam Amjad passes away at 78

Famous poet, essayist , playwright and educationist Amjad Islam Amjad passed on from coronary failure in Lahore ( Pakistan) on Friday. He was 78.  Amjad experienced a cardiac arrest on Friday morning and he was admitted to a hospital where he died said his loved ones. Amjad was among Pakistan's most popular Urdu writers . He was born on Aug, 4 1944 , he had appreciated gigantic fame among Urdu literature lovers in light of his splendid verse and astounding screenplays. 

He was honoured with many prizes , including the Sitara -e-Imtiaz, and a writer of a few books of verse, he had been a customary component at verse readings all around the world throughout the last forty years.  A portion of his plays , performed by PTV ( Pakistan TV) and other confidential TV channels, his writings like 'Waaris', 'Samandar' , "Waqt", "Dehleez": "Raat"  and  "Apne Log" were among his most well known screenplays and achieved global recognition. Famous singer Adnan Swami paid homage to the Veteran poet on his sudden demise.
