Pop star-turned swimmer Cody Simpson makes Australia's Commonwealth Games swim team

Before returning to swimming, Simpson was floating on a successful music career. He has made three music three albums and has toured around the world toured the world to perform. He has also worked with Justin Bieber and publicly dated celebrities Miley Cyrus and Gigi Hadid

Pop star-turned swimmer Cody Simpson has shown his swimming prowess as he made Australia's Commonwealth Games team and is also slated to race at the world championships.



 The talented junior swimmer said ‘bye bye’ to his music career in order to return to the swimming sport. In 2020, he secured the third position in Australian Swimming Championships in Adelaide after finishing 100 meters in 51.96 secs.



Talking about his progress in sports, Simpson said, "That's a dream come true. I had a great swim this morning and so much progress since last year," 



Before returning to swimming, Simpson was floating on a successful music career. He has made three music three albums and has toured around the world toured the world to perform. He has also worked with Justin Bieber and publicly dated celebrities Miley Cyrus and Gigi Hadid.



"I didn't even think I'd be remotely competitive until this year at the earliest, so to make the team is just a bonus on the way to Paris (Olympics in 2024)," Simpson said
