Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann today unexpectedly fired Health Minister Dr. Vijay Singla over alleged corruption charges and was arrested afterward.
The move came just a couple of months after Aam Aadmi Party ascended to power. CM Mann had tenaciously said that his government would show zero tolerance toward corruption.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal also reacted to the news and congratulated CM Mann for “stemming corruption in the bud”.
Singla’s OSD and nephew Pradeep Kumar were also arrested in connection with the corruption case. They were booked under Sections 7 and 8 of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
