During his hour-long visit, Rahul Gandhi was accompanied by several Congress leaders, including Punjab unit chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, Leader of Opposition in the state assembly Partap Singh Bajwa, former deputy chief minister OP Soni and others.
Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead on May 29 in Mansa village. At that time, Rahul Gandhi was abroad. He returned to the country on Tuesday morning and straight away paid a visit to the family of Sidhu Moose Wala.
After the visit, Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “It is difficult to describe the grief that the parents of Congress leader Sidhu Moose Wala are going through. It is our duty to give them justice, and we will do so. Law and order in the state have broken down completely. The AAP government is incapable of maintaining peace and tranquillity in Punjab.”
