Sidhu Moose Wala Murder: Politicians, celebrities condole death of 28-year-old singer

Punjabi singer turned Politician Sidhu Moose Wala in a shocking incident was shot dead in the Mansa district of Punjab on Sunday. Punjab Director-General of Police VK Bhawra has said that the jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's gang was behind the killing of the singer. 

While condoling the death of Sidhu Moose Wala, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann tweeted, “I am Shocked and Deeply saddened by the gruesome murder of Siddhu Moosewala. Nobody involved will be spared. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and his fans across the world. I appeal to everyone to stay calm.”

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was also among the long list of people who extended their condolence.

He tweeted, “Deeply shocked and saddened by the murder of promising Congress leader and talented artist, Sidhu Moosewala. My heartfelt condolences to his loved ones and fans from across the world.”

BJP leader Amit Malviya took a dig at the AAP over Moose Wala’s killing and said that “Punjab is in flames”

“Punjab is up in flames! Is popular singer Sidhu Moosewala’s cold-blooded murder the change AAP promised? Arvind Kejriwal and Raghav Chaddha, who run Punjab by proxy, must be held accountable for this murder. Did they not know of the threat before withdrawing his security?” Amiyt Malviya tweeted.

On the other hand, the entertainment industry was also aghast over the singer’s killing. 

 Reacting to the murder, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn tweeted, “Stunned by the shocking death of Sidhu Moosewala. May Waheguru give his loved ones strength in their hour of grief. RIP departed soul. Still trying to wrap my head around this one.”

Music Director, Vishal Dadlani said that Sidhu’s death is a big loss to the music industry. 

“I only knew Sidhu Moose Wala through his music, yet the news of his demise has cut deep. India has very few authentic modern artists. He was right on top of that list. I'm without words. He's a legend, his voice, his courage & his words will never be forgotten.”
