Texas School Shooting: 21 killed including 19 children

Al least 19 children were killed when an 18-year-old gunman opened fire at a Texas elementary school on Tuesday. the attacker went from classroom to classroom and targeted the children of the school, but eventually, law enforcement neutralized the attacker. Authorities have also stated that 2 were also killed in the shooting, including a teacher.

My heart is broken today,” said the school district superintendent, Hal Harrell. He announced that all the school activities were suspended for the time being. “We’re a small community, and we’re going to need your prayers to get through this.”

Reacting to the incident, US president Joe Biden blamed America’s powerful gun lobby for the killing and urged the people of America to stand up against the lobby. He also said that these lobbies are hampering the country in enacting tougher fireman safety laws. The US president also ordered that the flags will be flown half-staff till Saturday in order to mourn the killing. 

The attack came just 10 days after a deadly attack at Buffalo supermarket in New York when 10 people were shot dead by a teenage gunman.
