With another twist in the tale, BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis is likely to take an oath as Maharashtra’s next chief minister tomorrow, July 1.

When asked about the latest development, Fadnavis said that everything will be clear tomorrow.

Rebel Shiv Sena camp led by Eknath Shinde has left Goa for Mumbai where he is scheduled to speak to Maharashtra governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari. As per the report, Fadnavis is also going to accompany Shinde in a meeting with the governor.

On Wednesday, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray submitted his resignation as the chief minister of the state.

The announcement came soon after the apex court ordered the floor test in Maharashtra to prove the majority. In the meantime, Section 144 has been imposed in Mumbai and other adjacent areas to avoid any unwanted activities.

Amid the boiling political tension, BJP state chief, Chandrakant Patil stressed that people should maintain law and order. He also urged Shiv Sena’s rebel MLAs to come to Mumbai on the day of oath-taking.
