US President Biden on Monday tenaciously stated that if China attempts to invade Taiwan then he will be forced to use military forces to defend the latter.

While addressing a press conference with the Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida of Japan, suggested that he would deploy his military forces on behalf of Taiwan to protect it from Chinese invasion.

He also stated that the US is providing tens of billions of dollars for arms to Ukraine to help the war-torn country defeat the Russian invaders but refused to send American troops.

The president’s declaration came as a surprise to some members of his administration who were not expecting him to announce such a big step to protect Taiwan against the Chinese invasion.

Soon after the president’s statement. the White House issued a statement denying the president’s claims.

“As the president said, our policy has not changed. He reiterated our One China Policy and our commitment to peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait. He also reiterated our commitment under the Taiwan Relations Act to provide Taiwan with the military means to defend itself.” The White House stated.
