The Apex court has refused former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma’s request of transferring all FIRs lodged against her to Delhi for further investigation. She sought the transfer as she claims that she is facing life threats. The FIRs were lodged against her for her controversial remark on Prophet Mohammad.

While rejecting the plea SC’s Justice Kant stated, “When you lodge a complaint against someone, that person is arrested but nobody dares to touch you that shows your clout”.

During the hearing, the bench grilled Sharma and told her that she should apologize for her insensitive remark about the Prophet. The apex court further slammed her by saying that her irresponsible tongue has incited massive violence across the nation.

The court also said that the killing of Udaipur’s tailor Kanahiya Lal was also a result of the disharmony instigated by her remark.

Nupur Sharma’s advocate Maninder Singh, in return, said that she has already apologized for her comment on the prophet and has taken back her words, to which SC said that it is too late to apologize now.
