Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Thursday alleged that "outsiders" were being deliberately sent to disrupt the party's ongoing protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar and tarnish its image. Speaking to reporters, Dipke claimed the agitation had remained peaceful for nearly a month, but attempts were now being made to provoke violence and discredit the movement.
According to Dipke, individuals with no connection to the protest were allegedly entering the demonstration to create disturbances. He accused the BJP of trying to weaken the student-led movement by portraying it as violent, though no evidence supporting the allegation was publicly presented.
The remarks came a day after clashes were reported near the protest site, where confrontations between demonstrators and police led to stone-pelting and injuries to police personnel. Delhi Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
The CJP-led protest, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the alleged examination paper leak controversy, has continued despite the unrest. Party leaders insist their movement remains peaceful and say they will continue the agitation until their demands are addressed.
