Two separate firing incidents reported from different parts of Delhi have raised fresh concerns over public safety, with minors injured in both cases and police launching investigations to identify and apprehend those responsible.

In the first incident, unidentified men allegedly opened fire in South Delhi’s Lado Sarai area. According to reports, gunshots were heard in the locality, creating panic among residents. Witnesses claimed that several rounds were fired before the assailants fled the scene. Local residents also told police that a similar firing incident had reportedly taken place in the area about a week earlier, prompting concerns over recurring violence. Police teams reached the spot soon after receiving information and began collecting evidence from the crime scene. Further details regarding the motive behind the attack are yet to emerge.

In another incident reported from the New Usmanpur area of northeast Delhi, a 12-year-old boy sustained a gunshot injury after allegedly being caught in firing carried out by three men. Police said the incident occurred in front of the residence of a local caterer identified as Dharmender in the 4th Pushta area. During the firing, the child suffered an injury to his foot and was rushed to JPC Hospital for treatment. His condition is reported to be stable.

Delhi Police acted swiftly after the Usmanpur incident and apprehended two accused, identified as Prankur, 29, and Harsh, 22. Officials said a country-made firearm was recovered from their possession. Forensic teams inspected the scene and collected evidence, while police launched searches to trace other suspects believed to be involved in the case. An FIR has been registered under relevant sections of law at the New Usmanpur police station.

Investigators are currently examining CCTV footage, eyewitness accounts, and forensic evidence from both incidents to establish the sequence of events and determine the motive behind the attacks. Police have increased surveillance in the affected areas and assured residents that strict action will be taken against those involved.

The two incidents come amid growing concerns over violent crimes involving firearms in parts of the national capital. Authorities have urged residents to share any information that may assist the investigation as efforts continue to identify all those linked to the shootings.
