Jaipur Residents Brace for More Rain as Met Department Forecasts Heavy Showers

Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, was hit by heavy rainfall on Monday, causing traffic disruptions and waterlogging in several markets. The Meteorological department has forecasted torrential downfall  in the next 24 hours.The heavy rain started in the morning and continued till late afternoon. Several areas in the city were waterlogged, including the markets in the walled city, the Ajmeri Gate area, and the Ramgarh Road area. Traffic was disrupted in several areas due to the waterlogging.


The heavy rain also caused power outages in some areas of the city. The Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) has deployed teams to clear the waterlogging and restore power.The department has issued an orange alert for Jaipur and other districts in the state.


The heavy rainfall has had a significant impact on the city of Jaipur. Here are some of the impacts:


1) Traffic disruptions: Several roads and markets were waterlogged, causing trafficp disruptions. This led to long delays for commuters and motorists.


2) Waterlogging in homes and businesses: Several homes and businesses were flooded due to the waterlogging. This caused damage to property and belongings.


3) Power outages: Power outages were reported in some areas of the city. This affected businesses and residents who rely on electricity.


4)Damage to property: There was some damage to property due to the heavy rain. This included damage to homes, businesses, and infrastructure.


The JMC has advised residents to take precautions and stay safe during the heavy rain. Here are some of the advisories:


 1) Avoid unnecessary travel.

 2) Be careful while driving.

 3) Stay away from waterlogged areas.
