BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla on Thursday expressed strong confidence in the party’s prospects, claiming that the NDA’s “lotus is blooming everywhere” and predicting a decisive victory across four states.
Referring to the Bharatiya Janata Party’s election symbol, Poonawalla said the mood on the ground clearly favours the Bharatiya Janata Party and its allies under the National Democratic Alliance. He asserted that voters have endorsed the party’s governance model and development agenda.
“From the feedback we are receiving, it is evident that people have once again chosen development, stability and decisive leadership. The lotus is blooming everywhere,” he said while interacting with the media.
Dismissing opposition claims and exit poll debates, Poonawalla maintained that the NDA’s performance will exceed expectations once votes are counted. He added that the alliance has gained widespread support due to welfare schemes, infrastructure push, and what he described as transparent governance.
The BJP leader also took a swipe at opposition parties, accusing them of spreading confusion through selective narratives and relying heavily on exit polls. According to him, such efforts will not alter the final outcome, which he believes will be in favour of the NDA.
His remarks come amid heightened political activity following the conclusion of voting in multiple states. While exit polls have projected mixed results in some regions, BJP leaders continue to project confidence of a sweeping mandate.
Political observers say statements from leaders on both sides reflect the charged atmosphere ahead of the counting of votes. As parties await the final results, claims and counterclaims have intensified, with each side projecting optimism about its chances.
The final outcome will be known on counting day, which will determine whether the NDA’s confidence translates into electoral success across the states.
